OUR APPROACHOur organization is run mostly by volunteers, and all of our pets are housed by dedicated foster families throughout North Texas.

We rescue and help the healthy and treatable pets at greatest risk for euthanasia at our partner shelters. We also provide assistance and resources to pet owners having problems so significant that they need to surrender their pets to a shelter.

In our rescue program, we focus on

• Rescuing healthy and treatable pets at North Texas shelters at the greatest risk of being euthanized
• Reducing owner surrender through our Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender (PASS) program
• Opening kennel space by transporting pets to partners in the U.S. and Canada in need of adoptable animals
• Challenging the way our community views rescue animals. We believe that adoption is not only right thing to do but THE thing to do!

• At this time, we do not accept court-ordered service hours nor track community service hours.
• Our organization does not currently have an established office location, however in March 2023 DPA opened up an Adoption Container.

As our Foster App Vetter Admin, you’ll play an important role in keeping our foster app vetter team organized and maintained. You will assist in onboarding new fosters into our database.

Team Foster

Location Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST timezone.

Time Commitment Under 5 Hours a week

Compensation This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation.

Position Responsibilities

• Making sure every application has been responded to
• Uploading foster agreements into our database, ShelterLuv
• Selecting appropriate attributes for new applicants
• Following up with applicants that have not filled out their foster agreement to see if they have any questions about fostering

Skills And Qualifications Best Suited For This Position

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work virtually.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
• Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!
• Ability to operate a computer or mobile device
